Welcome to Education for Humanity

What is Education for Humanity?

Online and offline learning. In-person support. Recognized university credentials.

Education for Humanity is an initiative of Arizona State University (ASU). ASU is known around the world for using technology to deliver high-quality education.

Our mission is to expand access to education for crisis-affected and underserved communities. We work with global, national, and local partners to make this possible.

To help learners succeed, we train partner organizations so they can guide students through our online and offline learning programs.

Working to Meet Partner and Learner Goals

Education for Humanity works closely with partners and learners to improve our programs.

Based on feedback, we continue to improve our courses and services to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Our programs support many goals, including:

  • learning skills to start a business
  • building workplace skills for digital or remote jobs
  • improving English language skills
  • developing digital skills
  • preparing for higher education
  • supporting teachers working in crisis contexts

Our goal is simple: to help learners and partners achieve their goals through education.

We believe that education and recognized credentials can improve lives and strengthen communities.

How it Works (for Learners)

1. Have a Valid Email Address

All learners need a valid email address to create an account.

2. Create an Account

Staff at your partner organization will give you a Group Code. You will need this code to create your account.

If the Group Code does not work, contact your local program coordinator. ASU cannot help with Group Codes.

3. Assess Your English Level (Optional)

If you plan to take English courses, you can complete our English Level Diagnostic.

This short test will:

  • show your current English level
  • help you choose the best course for you

You can find this test on the course dashboard.

4. Start a Course and Confirm Your End Date

Ask your local program coordinator:

  • if you should start with a specific course
  • if courses should be taken in a certain order
  • if there is a deadline to finish your courses

These decisions are made by your partner organization, not by ASU.

Our platform allows learners to:

  • start courses at any time
  • take courses in any order
  • move to the next course even if one course is not passed

However, always follow the instructions from your local program coordinator.

Courses on the platform will not show an end date. Ask your coordinator when your cohort will lose access to the courses.

5. Earn Micro-Credentials

When you successfully complete a course, you will earn a:

  • badge +
  • certificate from Arizona State University's Education for Humanity

Badges are designed for sharing online, especially on LinkedIn and other social platforms. (Internet access is required to view and share badges)

Certificates are designed for saving or printing and are available to both online and offline learners.
