Welcome to Education for Humanity

What is Education for Humanity?

Offline and online learning. In-person support. Top-ranked University.

Education for Humanity is an initiative of Arizona State University (ASU), a university recognized globally for its innovation in delivering digital and connected education. Our mission is to increase the breadth and depth of educational opportunities available to communities affected by displacement, as well as create pathways for personal and professional advancement in partnership with like-minded organizations.

To achieve this mission, we work with a range of international organizations to implement our regionally-adapted programs. We also increase our learners’ chances of success by providing facilitators who guide them through online learning environments.

Working to Meet Your Goals

With learner feedback and support from international partners, the Education for Humanity portfolio is continually growing and improving to meet the needs of our target populations. For example, if you are looking for a traditional degree through a university, want to improve your English, digital literacy and other workplace competencies, or have interests in teacher training, classroom resources, or starting your own business, here are some of the ways we can help you meet those goals:

  • College preparation and ASU’s first year of for-credit courses, resulting in an official university transcript and transferable credit
  • English language, information literacy, and other workplace competencies
  • Entrepreneurship pathway to quickly start and grow a successful business

How it works

1. Create an Account

Staff at one of our partner organizations will provide eligible learners with a “Group Code.” You will need this code to create a new account.

After completing all required fields on the “new account” form, you will be asked to verify your email address (offline learners will not be asked to verify). Check your email within 24 hours and click the “verify” link. If you do not see our email in your inbox, check your junk folder.

2. Assess Your Level of English

Optionally, you will have the opportunity to test your level of English. Our English Level Diagnostic will provide you with instant feedback and guide you toward a course that matches your level of English.

3. Earn Badges (digital certificates)

Each time you successfully complete a course, you will earn a badge (digital certificate) from Arizona State University, optimized for sharing electronically.
